LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's William MacArthur has been named the Centennial Conference (CC) Player of the Week for men's tennis, announced Monday. The honor is his second of the season, having also been recognized on April 7.
MacArthur helped F&M go 2-0 last week to clinch the No. 4 seed in the upcoming CC playoffs. In singles action, he was victorious from the No. 1 spot (6-0, 6-1) before teaming up with Nolan Bacchieri at No. 1 doubles for an 8-0 drubbing to lead the Diplomats to a 5-1 victory over Gettysburg on Tuesday. Against Dickinson on Saturday, MacArthur was once again victorious from the No. 1 position with a 6-0, 6-2 win, before he and Bacchieri won at the No. 1 doubles spot (8-3) to pace F&M in an 8-1 victory over Dickinson.
The Diplomats will face off against Washington at home in the first round of the CC Playoffs on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m.
