F&M Sweeps Muhlenberg

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall men's tennis team rolled past Muhlenberg with a 9-0 win on Thursday afternoon in Centennial Conference (CC) action. The Diplomats improved to 10-8, 7-1 CC, while the Mules fell to 4-9, 2-6 CC. With the win, F&M clinched the No. 2 seed heading into next week's CC Tournament.

Ross Silverberg got the match started with a straight-set (6-1, 6-2) victory at the No. 1 position. Doug Kaplan outlasted Derrick Eng of Muhlenberg 4-6, 6-1, 10-6 at the No. 3 spot before Nolan Bacchieri dropped only one game in a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 4.

Hamza Pataudi was strong at No. 5 with a 6-1, 6-1 victory followed by Alec Tunner at No. 6 with a dominant 6-1, 6-0 win.

In doubles action, William MacArthur and Bacchieri led the way with an 8-2 victory at the No. 1 position. Kaplan and Stone teamed up to cap off the sweep at the No. 3 spot with an 8-5 win over Ben Berkowitz and Eng.

The Diplomats travel to Dickinson on Saturday to close out the regular season. The match is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start.
