LANCASTER, Pa. – Ross Silverberg has been named the Centennial Conference (CC) Player of the Week announced Tuesday. Franklin & Marshall's No. 1 singles player led the Diplomats to a 6-3 win over Haverford on Saturday, picking up a singles and doubles win on the afternoon.
In a matchup of two regionally ranked players, Silverberg (No. 12) outlasted the Fords' Danny Himelstein (No. 10) 4-6, 7-5, 6-4. With the victory, Silverberg moved into sole possession of second place for the most wins in school history.
Silverberg has accumulated a 63-21 record over the course of four years and is now only three wins shy of tying Sherif Abdel-Misih '97 for first place.
In doubles action, he teamed up with Tommy Weibye to down Matt Romei and Matthew Cebul 9-7 at the No. 2 position.
