Diplomats Defeat Devils

LANCASTER, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall's men's tennis team won its third-straight match and fourth in the last five played on the strength of a 6-3 win over Dickinson on Tuesday. The Diplomats (7-5, 4-3 CC) took two-thirds of the doubles matches and four singles matches in the win.

Eric Rouff won his fifth consecutive match and Doug Silverstein his third in the victory over the Red Devils (11-7, 4-4 CC). Rouff (10-5, 5-2 CC) won 6-4, 7-5 over Matt Wood at fifth singles, while Silverstein (9-8, 4-3 CC) won 6-3, 6-4 over Trevor Heck at second singles.

Brad Nelson and Silverstein (4-1, 4-1 CC) won their third consecutive match with an 8-6 win over Wood and Andrew Kastner at second doubles.

The match started outdoors at the Brooks Tennis Center, and was moved indoors when thunderstorms blew through Lancaster.

The Diplomats return to action on Thursday at McDaniel.
