Squash Video System Gains Industry Notice

Franklin & Marshall’s squash venue was recently outfitted with a cutting edge digital video system. The revolutionary system was noted in CEPro, a custom electronics industry magazine. (more)

de Melo Falls at CSA Championships

Gabriel de Melo’s season came to a close with a 3-1 loss (9-2; 3-9; 10-8; 9-4) to Navy’s Nils Mattson. Mattson bumped de Melo to the third round consolation bracket of the Molloy Cup Division at the College Squash Association Individual Championships. (more)

de Melo Wins Third Match With Katz

Franklin & Marshall freshman, Gabriel de Melo remains in the main draw of the Molloy Cup at College Squash Association Individual Championships. The double-elimination championships are being hosted by Williams College. (more)

Bates Avenges January Loss

Franklin & Marshall fell 6-3 to Bates in Sunday’s 11-12 playoff at the College Squash Association’s Team Championships at Princeton Sunday night. The victory for Bates (16-8) avenged a 5-4 loss to F&M (15-6) at the Yale Round Robin in January. (more)

Men’s Squash Falls to Williams in Hoehn Semis

Franklin & Marshall took the first and second positions, but it was all Ephs from there as the Diplomats (15-6) fell 7-2 to Williams (11-7) in the semifinals of the Hoehn Cup at the CSA Championships. The loss was the sixth in as many matches against Williams, which has owned the series since the early 1990’s. (more)

Men’s Squash Mauls Bears

Franklin & Marshall’s men’s squash team handed Brown a 6-3 defeat in the first round of the College Squash Association (CSA) Hoehn Cup division. The Diplomats (15-5) swept the first six positions on the ladder for the win and, at the Bears (4-9) expense, picked up their first win over an Ivy League team this season. (more)

Diplomats Turn Back Navy

#11 Franklin & Marshall got wins from the second and third positions, as well as each of the final three spots on the ladder to secure a 5-4 over #13 Navy at the Halsey Field House Wednesday night. The Diplomats (14-5) win ends a two-match slide against the Middies (26-6), which is enjoying more wins in a season than any their program’s history, and marks F&M’s 15th win in the series’ history. Haverford Squashed

Franklin & Marshall’s men’s squash team met little resistance from the Haverford lineup on Saturday. The #11 Diplomats (13-5) cruised to a 9-0 win over the Fords (4-7). The Diplomats adjusted the lineup played all six of their seniors to pick up the squad’s 13th win of the season. (more)

Rochester Stings Diplomats in Mayser

The Mayser Center has not been good to Franklin & Marshall’s men’s squash team this season. #6 Rochester blanked #11 F&M 9-0 Friday night at the Diplomats’ venue. F&M (12-5) is now 0-4 in home matches this season. All of those matches have been against opponents ranked in the top ten. (more)

Franklin & Marshall College named John White Director of Squash and Head Men's and Women's Squash Coach on September 5, 2007. Formerly the top-ranked player in the world, White remains a top-ten player in the Dunlop / Professional Squash Association (PSA) World Rankings. A native of Queensland, Australia and a Scottish national, White has 12 PSA tour titles to his credit since becoming a full-time professional in 1991. He broke into the top 20 in the world rankings in 1998, and climbed his way to the top of the tour, reaching number one in the world in March of 2004.
