Men’s Squash Avenges Bates in CSA Finale

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Franklin & Marshall's No. 16 men's squash team downed No. 15 Bates by a 5-4 tally on Sunday afternoon in the Hoehn Cup (B Division) 15-16 Playoff match on the final day of the CSA Team Championships. 

The victory avenged a 5-4 loss against Bates back on Jan. 21 and closed out the Diplomats' regular-season record at 8-13 overall. 

By the Numbers 

F&M's middle of the ladder proved to be the difference with each of the No. 3-5 positions earning wins, including sweeps by Shams Abbas (No. 3) and Samm Fulton (No. 5). 

Four matchups went past three games while three reached five. Seven of the last nine meetings against Bates were in the Diplomats' favor.
