Western Ontario Deals F&M Heartbreaking Defeat

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Franklin & Marshall's No. 16 men's squash team dropped a narrow 5-4 decision against No. 12 Western Ontario on Saturday afternoon in the Hoehn Cup (B Division) Consolation Semifinals at day two of the CSA Team Championships.

With the loss, the Diplomats dropped to 7-13 on the season while the Mustangs improved to 16-3. Tomorrow, F&M faces off against either Navy or Bates in the bracket's 15-16 Playoff. 

By the Numbers 

The middle of the Diplomats' order was dominant as the No. 3-5 positions each won their contests and combined to take nine of 10 games. Kareem Nabil Abdel Mawla was also victorious on the day, sweeping his opponent by a 3-0 score at No. 9.

Competition was fierce throughout the lineup as four matchups went to five games.
