Dartmouth Topples Diplomats at CSA’s

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Franklin & Marshall's No. 16 men's squash team suffered an 8-1 loss to No. 9 Dartmouth in the opening round of the Hoehn Cup (B Division) at the Collegiate Squash Association (CSA) Team Championships, hosted by Harvard on Friday afternoon.

The Diplomats fell to 7-12 with the defeat and will compete in tomorrow's Consolation Semifinals, while the Big Green improved to 8-7 and earned a spot in the Championship Semifinals match. 

By the Numbers

Six of the nine matchups on the day were extended past three games, including the No. 5 match that went the distance. Samm Fulton battled back from a 2-0 deficit to win two straight and force a fifth game, but ultimately fell by a 3-2 margin. 

Shams Abbas delivered the Diplomats' lone win on the ladder with a 3-1 decision at No. 3.
