Diplomats Extend Winning Streak

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The No. 6 Franklin & Marshall men's squash team took down No. 13 Bates by a 7-2 score on Sunday afternoon to close out the Yale Round Robin, extending its winning streak to seven matches in the process. The Diplomats now sit with a 10-2 record, while the Bobcats dropped to 8-5.

F&M's prospects looked bleak after falling at No. 1 and No. 2, however the rest of the lineup responded with seven sweeps to hand the Diplomats a victory.  Jack Cutler was met with some resistance at No. 3 but pulled away with an 11-5, 11-8, 11-4 win while Mauricio Sedano won handily at No. 4 with an 11-7, 11-3, 11-3 sweep.

Ryan Mullaney rolled to an 11-5 win in his opening game at the No. 7 spot but had to edge out a 13-11 victory in the second before closing out the matchup off an 11-6 win in the third. Christopher Bown was solid at No. 9, outdueling Bates' Nima Olumi with an 11-4, 11-4, 11-5 win.

F&M takes to the road on Friday when the Diplomats face off with No. 8 Cornell at 2:00 p.m.
