F&M Upsets Princeton

LANCASTER, Pa. – The No. 7 Franklin & Marshall men's squash team pulled off a 7-2 upset of No. 3 Princeton on Saturday afternoon at the Mayser Center, earning its first win over the Tigers since 1986-87. The Diplomats sit at 2-0 early on in the year, while Princeton fell to 0-1.

With the win, F&M snapped a 24-match losing streak against the Tigers, its longest such streak against an opponent.

Abhishek Pradhan was solid at No. 1, taking down Samuel Kind by an 11-3. 7—11, 11-8, 11-7 score. No.'s 3-6 all came up big for the Diplomats by picking up victories on the day. Jack Cutler won 11-8, 3-11, 11-7, 5-11, 11-7 at No. 3, followed by Alex Arjoon at No. 4 with a 13-11, 2-11, 11-3, 11-7 win. 

Pedro Veiga de Almeida followed at No. 5 with a commanding 11-4, 11-8, 11-5 sweep, while Brian Henry earned an 8-11, 11-3, 11-9, 12-10 win at No. 6.

Dylan Cunningham outlasted Vivek Dinodia at the No. 8 position with an 11-8, 10-12, 9-11, 11-8, 13-11 victory while Aadit Zaveri swept the Tiger's Ash Egan 11-9, 13-11, 11-2 at the No. 9 spot.

F&M returns to the court on Thursday, Dec. 5, when the Diplomats play host to Dartmouth at 6:00 p.m.
