LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's Wyatt Fabian and Dave Reingold were named to the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) 2016 Division III South Men's Soccer All-Star First Team, announced Wednesday.
Fabian (Sinking Spring, Pa. / Hill School) earned the distinction for the first time in his career after also being named to the All-Centennial Conference (CC) First Team earlier in the month.
The junior defender was a stalwart on the backline after starting in all of the Diplomats 23 contests. He accumulated a goal and four assists on the season while anchoring a defensive unit that held the second-lowest goals against average mark in the conference at 0.79.
Reingold (Marlboro, N.J. / Colts Neck) was named to the list for the first time and was also named to the All-CC First Team for the Diplomats this season. The senior netminder was second in the CC in goals-against average (0.72) and save percentage (.841).
His 10 shutouts led the conference and were good for the fourth-most in program single-season history. Reingold tallied a 15-4-4 overall record and started in more games (23) than any other F&M 'keeper during a season.
The Diplomats (15-4-4) become one of just five teams in the nation to appear in four-straight NCAA Sweet 16's while advancing to the program's first Elite Eight appearance since 2013.
