Hartog Shoots 152 to Lead F&M to Eighth Place at Nike Ocean City Collegiate Men's Golf Fall Classic

OCEAN CITY, MD - Bryan Hartog (Fr., Richmond Hill, Ontario/Langstaff) 152 over two days to tie for seventh place and lead the Franklin & Marshall College men's golf team to an eighth place finish at the 2005 Nike Ocean City Collegiate Classic at Eagles Landing Golf Club.

Hartog, who carded scores of 77 and 75 over the two day tournament, led the way as Ross Brown (Fr., Kingston, PA/Wyoming-Seminary) shot 158 (81-77) to tie for 24th, Mark Quick (Sr., Forest Hill, MD/St. Pauls) carded a 165 (81-84) to finish 42nd, Dennis Gunderson (Fr., Duxbury, MA/Duxbury) shot 169 (88-81) to tie for 50th and Kevin Penhallegon (So., Glen Arm, MD/Loch Raven) tapped in for a 170 (86-84) to tie for 53rd.

Overall, Franklin & Marshall finished with a two day score of 642 (325-317), one strokes better than ninth place Hobart College (315-328-643).

Allegheny College captured the team title with a score of 607 (304-303), while the Gators Chris Moore (73-73-146) edged out McDaniel College's Gerry Butler (74-74-148) for medalist honors.
