Penhallegon Shoots 75 to Lead Diplomats to Seventh Place at Lebanon Valley Men's Golf Invitational

LEBANON, PA -- Kevin Penhallegon (Fr., Glen Arm, MD/Loch Raven) shot 75 to finish tied for seventh place and lead the Franklin & Marshall College "B" men's golf team to a seventh place finish among 19 teams at the 2004 Lebanon Valley College Fall Men's Golf Invitational.

The finish marks the fourth time in four tournaments this fall the Diplomats have finished seventh as Franklin & Marshall finished seventh of 15 teams at the Wesley College Invitational, seventh of 17 teams at their own invitational and seventh of 15 teams at the Elizabethtown College Invitational.

Ben Madonia (Jr., Clinton, NY/Clinton) finished second for F&M shooting 79 to tie for 25th place, while Matt Oscadal (So., Lebanon, NH/Lebanon) carded an 81 to tie for 42nd place.

Matt Dietz (So., Simsbury, CT/Simsbury) and Dan Eggertsson (Sr., Royal Palm, FL/Suncoast) rounded out the Diplomats' competitors as they shot 83 and 85, respectively, to finish tied for 51st and 68th among the 97 competing golfers.

Overall, Nayson Avery of Alvernia earned medallist honors with a 69 over the par 72 course, while Moravian College captured the team title with a 306 to edge out York College of Pennsylvania on a tie-breaker.

Franklin & Marshall will continue the season on October 5 at the Gettysburg College Invitational at the Links at Gettysburg.
