Diplomats Finish Sixth of 19 at Franklin & Marshall Fall Men's Golf Invitational

LANCASTER, PA - Dennis Gunderson (Fr., Duxbury, MA/Duxbury) shot 77, Ross Brown (Fr., Kingston, PA/Wyoming Seminary) carded a 75 and Bryan Hartog (Fr., Richmond Hill, Ontario) shot 76 to lead the Franklin & Marshall College men's golf team to a sixth place finish at the F&M Invitational hosted at Bent Creek Country Club.

The Diplomats "A" team finished the tournament with a team score of 315 as Matt Oscadal (Jr., Lebanon, NH/Lebanon) and Mark Quick (Sr., Forest Hills, MD/St. Pauls) shot 87 and 88, respectively, to round out the team's five golfers.

Franklin & Marshall's "B" team finished 16th of 19 teams as Kevin Penhallegon (So., Glen Arm, MD/Loch Raven) carded a 77 and Matt Dietz (Jr., Simsbury, CT/Simsbury) tapped in for an 82 to lead the way.

Moravian's Dustin McCormick earned medalist honors with a 70 as the Greyhounds took the team title with a 305, three strokes better than runner-up Keystone College (308).

Franklin & Marshall will continue the season on September 22 at the Moravian Invitational at Southmoor Country Club.
