Diplomats Remain First Through Second Day at Centennial Conference Men's Golf Championship

YORK, PA - Kevin Philipow (Sr., Sudbury, Ontario/Heritage) shot 79 to remain in third place and keep the Diplomats in the lead through day two at the 2005 Centennial Conference Championships at the par-71 Heritage Hills Golf Resort.

Overall, Franklin & Marshall College shot 323 on the second day of the tournament as McDaniel College shot 320 to cut the Diplomats lead to four strokes at 625 to 629 with 18 holes remaining in the championship.

For the Diplomats, Carson Crooms (So., St. Petersburg, FL/Canterbury) shot 85, Ben Madonia (Jr., Clinton, NY/Clinton) shot 81, Mark Quick (Jr., Forest Hill, MD/St. Paul's) shot 80 and Kevin Penhallegon (Fr., Glen Arm, MD/Loch Raven) shot 82 in the second round.

The championships will conclude on May 2.
