Diplomats Take Second at Glenmaura

MOOSIC, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall took second place amongst the 12 competing teams at the Glenmaura National Collegiate Invitational. Susquehanna University won the two-round event, which was hosted by the University of Scranton. Susquehanna combined for a two-round team total of 584. The Diplomats shot a 609 to stay three strokes in front of third place McDaniel.

Franklin & Marshall's Bryan Hartog and Andrew Woods tied with McDaniel's Zach Lavoie and Susquehanna's Zach Prowant for eighth place. That group shot a 152 (+10) over the two rounds played on the par 71, 6,339-yard course. Pat Serfass shot a 139 to go three under for the individual medal. He was the only player in the field of 59 to come in under par. He was also one of four Susquehanna golfers to register a top-five finish.

All of F&M's golfers finished in the top 20. Dennis Gunderson took 12th with a 153 (+11). Joe Fucigna took 15th (156, +14) and Chuck Anttonen shot a 157 (+15) to tie for 17th place.

Franklin & Marshall returns to the course on Friday for the first of three rounds of the Centennial Conference Championships.
