Madonia Finishes Eighth as Diplomats Place Seventh at Glenmaura Men's Golf Invitational

MOOSIC, PA - Ben Madonia (Jr., Clinton, NY/Clinton) shot 73 and 79 for a combined score of 152 to place eighth and lead the Franklin & Marshall College men's golf team to a seventh place finish at the Glenmaura National Invitational.

Mark Quick (Jr., Forest Hill, MD/St. Pauls) shot 155 (78-77) to place 13th, Kevin Philipow (Sr., Sudbury, Ontario/Heritage) carded at 157 (77-80), while Carson Crooms (So., St. Petersburg, FL/Canterbury) shot 160 (84-76) and Kevin Penhallagon (Fr., Glen Arm, MD/Loch Raven) tapped in to finish with a 175 (87-88) to round out the Franklin & Marshall competitors.

Moravian College won the team title with a combined score of 606 (302-304) and Steve Krug of York College of Pennsylvania earned medalist honors with a two-day total of 139 (73-66) to finish the tournament three strokes under par.

Franklin & Marshall will continue the season on April 18 at the F&M Invitational at Bent Creek Country Club.
