HERSHEY, PA - Franklin & Marshall College shot 313 to place second of 15 teams through the first day of the Rochester NCAA District II Mid-Atlantic Invitational hosted at Hershey Country Club.
Leading the way for F&M is Kevin Philipow (Jr., Sudbury, Ontario/Region 18) and Carson Crooms (Fr., St. Petersburg, FL/Canterbury) as the pair both shot 77 to tie for fifth place with Rochester's Rob Sherman and another golfer. Dan Eggertsson (Jr., Royal Palm Beach, FL/Suncoast) carded a 79, Ben Madonia (So., Clinton, NY/Clinton) shot 80 and Matt Dietz (Fr., Simsbury, CT/Simsbury) finished with a round of 85 as the Diplomats are two strokes ahead of Gettysburg College.
Overall, Allegheny leads the tournament with a one-day total of 308, as Beth Rathron is the day one leader with a 73
Franklin & Marshall will continue the tournament at 9:00 a.m. on April 12.
