Franklin & Marshall Finishes 10th at Elizabethtown Men's Golf Invitational

ELIZABETHTOWN, PA - Ben Madonia (So., Clinton, NY/Clinton) and Dan Eggertsson (Jr., Royal Palm Beach, FL/Suncoast) carded scores of 76 to lead the Franklin & Marshall College men's golf team to a 10th place finish at the 2004 Elizabethtown Blue Jay Classic.

F&M, which finished ahead of local rival York College by six strokes, finished with a team score of 318, one stroke off the pace of ninth place Moravian (317) and three strokes behind eighth place Susquehanna (315).

In addition to Madonia and Eggertsson, Nick Leigh (Sr., Innisfil, Ontario, Canada) and Carson Crooms (Fr., St. Petersburg, FL/Canterbury) both shot 83, while Bob Hennefer (So., Cherry Hill, NJ/Bishop Eustace) carded a round of 86.

Matt Oscadal (Fr., Lebanon, NH/Lebanon) and Mark Quick (So., Forest Hill, MD/St. Pauls) competed as individuals finishing with rounds of 80 and 87, respectively, as the pair was not counted into the final team score.

Overall, Nazareth captured the team title with a score of 300, while Nazareth's Nick Ambrose earned medalist honors for finishing with a score of 72.

Franklin & Marshall will continue the season on April 10-11 at the Rochester Invitational.
