ASHLAND, Va. – Ben Mitchell finished third to help Franklin & Marshall to a second-place finish at the Ted Keller Memorial Tournament. The two-day invite was hosted by Randolph-Macon at the Hanover Country Club. Gettysburg came in first with 595 (299-296). F&M finished with a total score of 597 with rounds of 299 and 298.
Mitchell shot back-to-back rounds of 73 to finish with a final score of 146 for third place. Gettysburg's Daniel Harcourt took home first place with a total of 139 (69-70).
Justin Lankler (75-74) and Seiichiro Nakai (74-75) finished in a three-way tie for fifth for a total score of 149 on the par-71, 6,700-yard course. Colin Peters improved from a round of 77 to 76 to tie for 16th with a 153. Ian Murray finished with rounds of 80 and 77 and took 31st out of 65 players.
The Diplomats return to action on Monday, hosting the F&M Invitational at Bent Creek Country Club to finish out the fall schedule.
