WILMINGTON, Del. – With 36 of 54 holes complete at the Centennial Conference (CC) Championships, Brad Lankler and the Franklin & Marshall men's golf team both remain at the top of the standings, following day two at the DuPont Country Club. The Diplomats have totaled 600 strokes so far in the tournament to remain in first as McDaniel (615) sits in second and Swarthmore (619) rounds out the top three.
Lankler continues to pace the field with a 147 total (72-75) and is two strokes ahead of teammate Robert Svigals who is next with a 149 (77-72) on the par-71, 6763-yard course. Swarthmore's Michael Chen is in third place after shooting a 151 (79-72).
The Diplomats' Stephen Colodny shaved six strokes off his day one tally to total a 152 (79-73) and a tie for fifth place with teammate Dave Gilbert, who also improved on his day one total for a 152 (79-73). Daniel Furman rounds out F&M's five with a 157 (80-77).
The final round is set for tomorrow, where F&M will look to hold on for its sixth CC Crown, including its fifth in the previous seven years. The winner of the tournament also earns an automatic qualifier for the NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament.
