LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's Joe Granahan and Brendan Daly were named to the ECAC South All-Star team for football on Tuesday. Granahan was named to the first team for defense, while Daly landed on the second team for defense.
Granahan (Garnet Valley, Pa. / Garnet Valley) earned his first ECAC recognition after also garnering All-Centennial Conference (CC) First Team honors this season. The sophomore defensive end finished the year with a team-high 8.5 sacks, ranking second in the CC, and 13.5 tackles for a loss, also good for the second-highest total in the CC. He ended the season with 49 total tackles, 30 of them solo efforts.
Daly (Norfolk, Mass. / St. Sebastian's School) also picked up his first ECAC honors after being named to the All-CC First Team. The senior defensive back led the team with 67 total tackles, 48 of them solo, and added six passes broken up as a safety.
The Diplomats finished the season 7-4, appearing in the CC-MAC Bowl on Nov. 19 for the program's first postseason appearance in three years.
