PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall advanced into tomorrow's Varsity Pair Semifinals with a seventh-place showing in Friday's time trials at the 2016 Dad Vail Regatta in Philadelphia.
The duo of James Nelson (2) and Sean Hyland (1) secured seventh out of 22 boats after concluding their race with a time of 6:49.51 and becoming one of 18 to advance to tomorrow's semifinals. Michigan placed first at 6:38.058.
A trio of three heats, each containing six boats, will take place on Saturday with two competitors from each advancing to the finals. F&M's semifinal is slated for an 8:30 a.m. start when the Diplomats take on MSOE, Michigan, Drexel, Emory and Fordham. The Varsity Pair Final is set for 12:45 p.m.
F&M's women's rowing team will have its Varsity 8 boat in the water for the Division III final at 11:07 a.m. Live results for tomorrow's action can be found here.
