F&M Concludes Fall at Head of Occoquan

FAIRFAX STATION, Va. – Franklin & Marshall's men's rowing team competed at the Head of the Occoquan Regatta in Fairfax, Va. on Saturday. 

In the Championship 8+ race, a boat consisting of Tamir Shemesh (coxswain), James Nelson (8), Sean Hyland (7), Craig Fanto (6), Javier Ricardo (5), Dillan DeCaro (4), Thomas Stewart (3), Jonathan Munro (2) and Aidan Molloy (1) registered a 15th place finish out of 24 competitors with a time of 17:26:94. 

Also in the Championship 8+ event, another F&M boat of Ryan Paulekas (coxswain), James Jarvis (8), Daniel Rios (7), Christopher Howe-Smith (6), Jonathan Hay (5), Trexler Hirn (4), Grant Salley (3), Joel Cannon (2) and Dawei Ren (1) took 22nd with a time of 19:21.64. 

The University of Delaware crossed first at 15:39.32, followed by Marietta (15:53.48) and Saint Joseph's (15:56.10). 

Saturday's race brought an end to the fall portion of the Diplomats' 2015-16 campaign. F&M will return to action in the spring.
