WORCESTER, Mass. – Franklin & Marshall men's rowing competed in the Donahue Cup on Saturday morning hosted by Worcester Polytechnic Institute. The Diplomats claimed first place in the Varsity 4+ men's event, taking down Connecticut College's A and B teams.
The highlight of the day for F&M came from the Varsity 4+ crew of Brittany Sembler-cox, Clement Hsu, Connor Ten Cate, David Kaess, Wade Stanley that claimed first with a time of 7:08.13. The Diplomats defeated Connecticut College's A team by 25 seconds.
The men's Novice 4+ team of Amanda Levit-cox, John Ancona, Sam Alter, Tim Smith, Jeremy Hsu finished in a close third place after leading at the halfway mark. F&M finished in a time of 7:41.19 just behind WPI's B team that also finished with a mark of 7:41.19.
F&M returns to the water on Sunday morning at 9:50 AM when the Diplomats compete for a second day at the Donahue Cup.
