Varsity 4+ Take First

CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall men's rowing team took first in the Varsity men's 4+ on Saturday afternoon. The Diplomats competed against Washington College, Villanova, and Philadelphia University and had a boat in each of the three races.

The Varsity 4+ team of Amada Levit-cox, Clement Hsu, Connor Ten Cate, David Kaess, and Wade Stanley rowed to a first place finish with a time of 6:56.40, five seconds ahead of second place finisher Philadelphia University who came in at 7:01.46. Washington College placed third with a 7:05.38.

F&M also had boats in the men's Varsity 8+ race and the men's novice 4+. The team of Brittany Sembler-cox, Jeff Smith, Tyler Cohen, Sam Condon, Ben Weiserbs, Dan Clarici, Min Zhao, Viet Tran, and Greg Hershman placed third in the men's varsity 8+ with a time of 6:56.6. While the novice men's 4+ of Levit-cox, John Ancona, Sam Alter, Tim Smith, and Jeremy Hsu placed third in a field of four crews with a mark of 6:49.

The Diplomats will be back in the water on Saturday when F&M competes at the Donahue Cup. Race time is TBA.
