KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Franklin & Marshall's Jon Salandra and Shawn Hines earned a spot on the 2013-14 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court. The award is reserved for men's collegiate basketball student-athletes who excelled in academics during the past season.
In order to be named to the honors court, a student-athlete must be either a junior or senior in class standing and possess a GPA of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2013-14 academic year.
Salandra (Harrison, N.Y. / Hackley School), a 2014 graduate who majored in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and Hines (Lancaster, Pa. / Manheim Township), a Biochemistry and Molecular Biology major entering his junior season, are two of a record number 895 student-athletes from 335 colleges and universities to receive the distinction.
