Diplomats Dominate Dickinson

CARLISLE, Pa. - Four players scored in double-figures as #19 Franklin & Marshall cruised to a 71-49 victory over Dickinson in a Centennial Conference (CC) men's basketball game. The Diplomats improved to 13-3 (7-2 CC) while the Red Devils remained winless at 0-14 (0-9 CC). F&M has won the previous six contests with Dickinson.
The Red Devils gave F&M a battle in the first four minutes, taking a 7-5 edge at the 16 minute mark. James McNally answered scoring eight straight points to put the Diplomats up 13-7. Dickinson came within two points at 11:08 before Steve Tolliver drained four treys to led F&M on 29-12 run to end the half. F&M took a 41-23 advantage into the locker room.
Tolliver scored all 14 of his points in the first stanza. He shot 5-for-6 from the field and went 4-for-5 from behind the arc.
F&M picked off where it left in first, leading by as much as 31 points in the second half. Dickinson came within 14 points but the Red Devils never came close. Georgio Milligan scored eight of his team-high 14 points in the second period. He finished the night shooting 4-for-6 from the floor and 4-for-8 from the line. Milligan had four of F&M's 10 steals that resulted in 20 points.
James McNally added 14 points and Anthony Brooks finished with 10. McNally was 6-for-9 from the field and Brooks shot 44%.
Chris Barsanti scored a game-high 17 points for Dickinson. He shot 70% from the floor and 2-for-2 from the line. Pat Kearns added nine points for the Red Devils.
Franklin & Marshall continues its three-game road trip when the Diplomats travel to Haverford for a double-header on Saturday. The women tip-off at 1 p.m. followed by the men at 3 p.m.
