Its gotta be da shoes

LANCASTER, Pa. – Glenn Robinson may have the most wins of any Division III coach, but he doesn’t have a shoe deal with Nike. He'll wear their sneakers anyway. Robinson will join hundreds of basketball coaches across the country in sporting white sneakers this weekend to raise awareness of the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) “Coaches vs. Cancer” campaign.

Robinson will sport his white sneakers at Swarthmore’s Tarble Pavilion Saturday afternoon when the first place Diplomats (16-2, 9-2 Centennial) face the Garnet (1-16, 0-11 CC) at 3:00 p.m. (Live Stats).

Coaches vs. Cancer leverages the personal experiences, community leadership, and professional excellence of basketball coaches nationwide to increase cancer awareness and promote healthy living through year-round awareness efforts, fundraising activities, and advocacy programs.

Coaches vs. Cancer is a nationwide collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches that empowers basketball coaches, their teams, and communities to join the fight against cancer. Since the program's inception in 1993, high school and basketball coaches across the United States have raised nearly $45 million to support the Society's efforts to save lives from cancer.
