Diplomats Shut Down Cougars Rally Attempt

Fueled by the strength of its hitting, the Franklin & Marshall baseball team downed Averett 16-13 on Friday afternoon. The Diplomats improved to 5-3-1 on the season, and the Cougars dropped to 16-9. (more)

Diplomats Battle Tigers to a Draw

Franklin & Marshall and Hampden-Sydney went run-for-run as the teams put on a hitting clinic resulting in a 10-10 draw Thursday evening. The Diplomats picked up 17 hits while the Tigers managed 15 of their own. F&M now sits at 4-3-1 while the Tigers rest at 8-6-1. (more)

Diplomats Fall to Hornets

Lynchburg used a five-run eighth inning rally to defeat Franklin & Marshall 10-9 in non-conference baseball action Wednesday afternoon. The Diplomats countered in the ninth, scoring four runs, but the Hornets (10-3) held on dropping F&M to 4-3 this season. (more)

Herbst's Strike Outs Earn Victory

ASHLAND, Va. – Eric Herbst fanned six batters in the final three innings and Randolph-Macon could not recover, as the Diplomats garnered a 6-5 win over the Yellow Jackets Tuesday evening in non-conference baseball action. F&M won its fourth straight game and improved to 4-2 on the year while the Yellow Jackets fell to 5-7. (more)

Diplomats Sweep Guilford

Franklin & Marshall swept Guilford in a non-conference baseball double-header Monday afternoon. The Diplomats won 13-1 in first game and came away with a 3-2 victory in the nightcap. The Diplomats improved to 3-2 on the season while the Quakers fell to 10-8. (more)

Baseball Schedule Change

LANCASTER, Pa. -- The baseball game scheduled for Sunday versus Guilford has been postponed. The game scheduled for Monday will now be a double-header. First pitch will now be at 2:00 p.m. (more)

Diplomats Rally for First Win

Drew Atkins’ two-out single in the ninth proved to be the difference as Franklin & Marshall defeated Rutgers-Camden, 9-8, in the third game of the Bob Williams Memorial Tournament. The Diplomats, who were victims of two ninth inning rallies over the weekend, finally found themselves on the other side of the coin. F&M picked up its first win of the year, improving to 1-2. Diplomats Fall in the Ninth

Rowan’s two-out rally in the bottom of the ninth, lifted the Owls to a 3-2 victory over Franklin & Marshall in a non-conference baseball game Saturday afternoon. The Diplomats drop to 0-2 on the year, while Rowan improved to 3-2. (more)

Cougars Rally to Spoil Season Opener

Franklin & Marshall scored three runs in the top of the ninth inning to take an 8-7 lead, but #3 Kean answered with in the bottom of the frame to escape with a 9-8 win. (more)

Adam Taylor was named the College’s 46th baseball coach on October 1, 2008. He takes over the program after spending the past three seasons as an assistant coach at William & Mary. “There was no shortage of quality candidates for this position,” said Epps. “When it came down to it, Coach Taylor was the perfect fit for both the College and our program. He has a proven record of attracting talented ballplayers to academically rigorous institutions at all levels and we are confident that he will capitalize on the program’s current upward trajectory.”
