Complete Academic All-District Baseball Team

LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's Dan Marano was named to CoSIDA's 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-District Baseball Team, announced on Thursday. The honor is the first of Marano's career and advances him to the Academic All-America ballot, with first- and second-team honorees set to be named in June.

Marano (Maple Shade, N.J. / Bishop Eustace) was recently named the program's first Centennial Conference (CC) Player of the Year since 2006 after leading all Conference batters with a .411 average, while his on-base percentage of .452 was good for fourth, and his 43 RBIs ranked second. The All-CC First Team honor was the second of his career after Marano was named to the First Team and was selected as the Rookie of the Year in 2015. His 62 total hits were the third highest in program single-season history and the most since 2006.

The senior first baseman registered multiple hits in 16 contests and tied a CC single-game record with a 6-for-6 effort against Drew on April 19th. Marano was outstanding in the field as well with a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage, not committing an error in 295 total chances.
