Series History: F&M is set for a busy week, which has the Diplomats competing in seven games over the next seven days. Back-to-back Centennial Conference (CC) matchups begin the stretch at home, as F&M looks to complete the season sweep of Ursinus today at Caplan. Washington comes to Lancaster tomorrow, while the Diplomats travel to Chestertown on Friday. The series with the Shoremen began in 1960, with F&M holding a 32-19 all-time lead.

Messiah heads to town on Thursday to compete against the Diplomats for the second time this season. Last Thursday, F&M took down the Falcons by a 17-6 score. On Saturday, the Diplomats square off against Dickinson, leading the all-time series at 85-59-3, before closing out the week against York on Sunday.

Scouting the Opponents: Ursinus enters today's action sixth in the CC with a .296 batting average, while its pitching staff has combined for a 4.19 ERA. Washington is hitting at a .285 clip, good for seventh in the conference, while its 2.78 ERA leads the way.  Messiah has managed a .284 team average and a 5.01 ERA. Dickinson is ninth in the CC with a .271 batting average and sixth with a 4.46 ERA, while York has produced a .279 average and a 5.61 ERA.

Last Week: F&M went 3-1 last week, including a 2-1 mark in conference play. Action began with a key 4-2 win on the road at Ursinus on Tuesday, sparked by a three-run sixth inning. Lefty Sean Cosgriff (3-0) earned the win after tossing 6 1/3, allowing just one earned and striking out a pair.

On Thursday, the Diplomats tallied 10 steals and 19 hits, downing Messiah by a 17-6 score in eight innings.  Christopher Vincent and Zach Levins each went 3-for-5, while Tyler Daley, Mike Smeriglio, Vincent, Jimmy Whelan and Reed Williams all notched a pair of RBIs on the afternoon.

The week closed out on Sunday with a split against Muhlenberg. F&M fell by a 5-2 tally in game one, but responded with a 6-3 win in the nightcap. Freshman Mike Androconis (3-2) picked up the victory in game two, allowing just two earned and striking out three in seven innings of work. Andrew Mascis entered out of the bullpen in the ninth to earn his third save of the season.

Milestones to Watch: With three wins on the season, Guerra now has 15 victories in his career, a mark that places him just five shy of the F&M record. The program's all-time leader is Ted Serro '06 with 20.  Guerra has also entered the top-10 in strikeouts with 122 in his career. Todd Marshall '92 leads the way with 220. The Diplomats' senior right hander has started 28 games during his time in Lancaster, putting him just two shy of the F&M record of 30 from Mike Gossner '03.

Chris Mathewson (53) and Andrew Green (43) are both closing in on the career appearances record, sitting third and eighth respectively. The all-time leader is Nathan Diercks '02 with 58.

Top of the CC Class: With just two weeks remaining in the 2015 season, several Diplomats find their names atop of the CC statistical leaders. Brett Poniros is 10th with a .356 batting average, while Dan Marano's 19 RBIs are tied for fourth. Luke Seib has totaled 18 RBIs in the year, placing him in a tie for sixth.  Poniros (13), David Iacobucci (11) and Brian Erb (8) stand in fourth, sixth and tied for ninth respectively in stolen bases. Alex Guerra, Mack Glavin and Cosgriff each have three wins, which is tied for sixth in the conference, while Guerra's 2.08 ERA is eighth. 

F&M's .325 team batting average, 185 runs scored and 67 stolen bases all lead the conference, while its 145 RBIs place second and its nine homers are tied for second.
