LANCASTER, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall baseball team will be wearing special shirts during warm-ups and sporting gold shoelaces throughout tomorrow's game against Elizabethtown at Caplan Field, as part of Go4theGoal's Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer campaign.
Money generated from gold laces, which is the color for pediatric cancer awareness, and t-shirt sales, as well as any additional donations received, will support kids with cancer at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). The Blue Jays will also be wearing gold shoelaces during the 3:30 p.m. contest.
"We are thrilled to be working with Go4theGoal this year and helping to raise funds for local families affected by pediatric cancer," said Ryan Horning, F&M's head baseball coach. "This is a great opportunity for us to make a positive impact on the local community and to work on something much bigger than the game of baseball."
In case of a weather postponement, the event will take place on the date the contest is rescheduled to. Check back with GoDiplomats.com for the latest updates.
