LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's Rob Anderson has been named to the All-Centennial Conference (CC) Baseball Second Team, announced Thursday. The honor is the first of Anderson's career and 31st in the history of the program.
Anderson (Westfield, N.J. / Westfield) hit .375 on the year, primarily from the leadoff position in the Diplomats' lineup, which was the fourth-best in the conference. The senior centerfielder led the team in hits (51), RBIs (22), walks (14), doubles (eight) and on-base percentage (.431). His 25 runs scored and 10 stolen bases were both good for second among F&M hitters.
He collected a hit in 28 of the 35 games he appeared in, which included a 13-game hitting streak that ran from March 2, to March 23. In 16 games Anderson collected multiple hits, highlighted by a 4-for-6 effort against Ursinus on April 11.
Anderson's contribution to the Diplomats did not end at the plate, as the talented centerfielder registered a .975 fielding percentage, while committing only two errors on the year.
F&M went 14-23 on the year, including a 6-12 mark in CC action.
