LANCASTER, Pa. - J.T. Triantos has been named to the All-Centennial Conference (CC) Baseball Team for the second straight year as announced by the league office on Wednesday. The senior captain nabbed honorable mention first baseman honors as F&M's lone representative on the squad.
Triantos, who earned First Team All-CC honors a year ago and honorable mention accolades as a sophomore in 2010, becomes just the third three-time all-conference performer in school history. He led the Diplomats in multiple categories on the year and assaulted the F&M record books with his stellar play in 2012, capping off one of the finest careers in program history.
A four-year starter, Triantos completes his career ranked in the top-10 in nine categories of the career record book. His 53-hit campaign this spring propelled him into a tie atop the all-time hits list, alongside Gary Kruger '06, with 173. He also ranks first in sacrifice hits (23), third in at-bats (526), third in walks (73), fourth in sacrifice flies (10), fifth in runs scored (114), fifth in stolen bases (52), seventh in total bases (210), seventh in most hit-by-pitches (13), and 10th in RBIs (74).
Triantos also made his way into the top-10 in eight categories in the single-season record book. He ranks first in single-season sacrifice hits (8), fourth in doubles (13), fifth in stolen bases (23), sixth in at-bats (153), sixth in sacrifice flies (5), eighth in hit-by-pitches (6), ninth in walks (25) and 10th in hits (53).
The lefty led the Diplomats in 14 statistical categories this spring, a list that includes batting average (.346), hits (53), runs scored (28), total bases (68), on-base pct. (.429), stolen bases (23), doubles (13) and sacrifice bunts (8).
