LANCASTER, Pa. – Russell Tischler knocked in four runs to lead Franklin & Marshall to a 12-3 victory over Stevenson Tuesday afternoon in a non-conference baseball game. The Diplomats scored runs in six, of eight, innings and finished the 2010 campaign at 15-19-1 (9-9 CC). The Mustangs fell to 18-21.

F&M scored half its runs in the first two innings, tallying five in the first and one in the second. Aaron Gillette and J.T. Triantos were both hit by pitches to start off the game, putting runners on first and second. Matt Will walked in the next at-bat to load the bases. Bill Murray reached on a fielder's choice and Gillette was thrown out at home with the bases still juiced. Jason Anderson reached first on an error by the first basemen, scoring Triantos for the first run of the game.

Connor Devlin hit a single to right field in the next plate appearance, scoring Will for a 2-0 F&M advantage.  With the bases still loaded, Russell Tischler slammed a triple to right field, clearing the bases for a 5-0 Diplomats edge.

F&M went up 6-0 in the second when Murray hit a sacrifice fly to center field to score Gillette.

The Diplomats tacked on three more runs in fifth to take a commanding 9-0 lead. Murray started the frame of with a double and was brought home by an Eric Bornstein double a batter later. Tischler hit the third double in the inning to score Bornstein for an 8-0 score. Nick Rolnick hit a single in the next at-bat, plating Tischler, for the final run of the second.

Stevenson scored its first run in the sixth and added two more in the seventh. The Diplomats scored a run in sixth, seventh and eighth innings for the 12-3 final.

Tischler finished 3-for-5 and scored a run. Bornstein went 2-for-2 with two runs scored and two runs batted in. Murray was 2-for-4 from the plate with three runs scored and a RBI.

Jason Anderson (2-1) picked up the win working seven innings and striking out five. He gave up eight hits and allowed three runs.

Chris Street took the loss. Street (0-1) pitched four innings and gave up six runs.
