Franklin & Marshall Sports Medicine features a full-time team physician (M.D.), four full-time certified athletic trainers, student assistants, and access to Appel Health Services. The Athletic Training Room is open to NCAA athletes, ice hockey club athletes, and rugby club athletes. We can only evaluate athletes who play on one of these teams. If you are not a member of the aforementioned Varsity or club sports and you have an injury, please visit Appel Health Services.

Athletic Training Room Hours

The athletic training room is open from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. for injury evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation.  After 3:30 p.m. our focus becomes pre-practice taping and getting athlete’s and equipment ready for practices. We DO NOT perform injury evaluations after 3:30 p.m. The volume of duties we have at these times does not permit us to devote the necessary time to perform thorough evaluations. We understand that these hours may not work for people that have a full class schedule. If this is the case, call (x4111) or e-mail any athletic trainer to make an appointment, if available. Please note that during weekends and holiday breaks, hours will depend on when contests and practices are scheduled.  Please contact us if you have questions.

Rules of the Athletic Training Room:

  • No cleats are permitted
  • No equipment bags in the athletic training room
  • No tape will be handed out for equipment
  • No medications will be dispensed (including Tylenol, Advil, or Asprin)
  • Always get taped and ready in Mayser. Do not wait until you get to Baker or Tylus Field!
