Three F&M Fall Teams Prepared for CC Playoffs

LANCASTER, Pa. – A trio of Franklin & Marshall's postseason-eligible fall teams are set to take part in this week's Centennial Conference (CC) Playoffs. 

Field hockey travels to Ursinus as the tournament's No. 3 seed to battle No. 2 Muhlenberg in Saturday's Semifinals, men's soccer (No. 2 seed) heads to Haverford to take on No. 3 Johns Hopkins, while volleyball (No. 5 seed) will battle Muhlenberg on the road this Wednesday in the First Round.

The Diplomats earned their sixth straight conference postseason berth and are seeking the program's first Championship since 2012. F&M garnered the No. 3 seed after producing a 13-3, 9-1 CC record during the regular season. 

The NCAA First Round begins on Wednesday, Nov. 9 with the CC Champion earning an automatic bid into the field. The Second Round and Quarterfinals are set for Nov. 12-13, with the Semifinals and NCAA Championship slated for Nov. 19-20 in Geneva, N.Y. Men's Soccer CC Championship Site 

F&M returns to the CC Playoffs for the eighth consecutive year and is looking for its first CC Title since 2013. The Diplomats head into action as the No. 2 seed after wrapping up the regular season with a 12-2-3, 7-1-1 CC record. 

The CC Champion will earn an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament, which begins its First and Second Rounds on Nov. 12-13. The Sweet 16 and Quarterfinal Rounds take place Nov. 19-20, with the Final Four and NCAA Final slated for Dec. 2-3 in Salem, Va. The NCAA selection show will take place on Monday, Nov. 7 at 1:00 p.m. and can be viewed here

Volleyball CC Championship Site 

Volleyball secured a spot in the Conference Tournament for the ninth straight season and is looking to capture its first CC Title since 2014. For the third consecutive year, the Diplomats enter competition as the No. 5 seed after ending the regular season with a 19-8, 7-3 CC mark.

The NCAA First and Second Rounds are slated for Nov. 11-12, with the Quarterfinals, Semifinals and Championship matches taking place from No. 17-20 in Oshkosh, Wisc. The tournament's field will be announced during the NCAA selection show on Monday, Nov. 7 at 12:30 p.m., which can be found here.
