Spring 2010 Fitness Class Schedule
Power Yoga
An open-level Vinyasa yoga class with fast-paced sequences of
challenging poses designed to increase strength, stamina,
flexibility, balance, and equanimity. Variations of each pose will
be shown to accommodate different levels of ability. Each session
includes wellness messages and guided relaxation.
Register on Wednesday, 1/27 from 12:-12:30 or 5:30 – 6:00 pm
in ROS 113
Location: ROS 113
Cost: $55 for 12 classes 2/3 – 4/28, limit 30
participants
Time: Wednesdays, 5:05p.m. - 5:55 p.m.
What to bring: Bring a yoga sticky mat.
Gentle Yoga
A beginner Hatha yoga class with easy postures designed to
increase flexibility, relieve muscle tension, reduce stress, and
promote relaxation. Register on Wednesday, 1/27 from 12:-12:30 or
5:30 – 6:00 pm in ROS 113
Location: ROS 113
Cost: $55 for 12 classes 2/1 – 4/26, limit 30
participants
Time: Mondays, 12:05p.m. - 12:50 p.m
What to bring: Bring a yoga sticky mat.
Instructor Jane Marie Clipman has been practicing yoga for 20
years and is certified through the Himalayan Institute.

Zen Tai Chi
Zen Tai Chi (a.k.a. I-Liq Chuan) is an art based on the principles
of mindfulness and harmonized body movement. The art emphasizes
mindfulness training and development of natural body mechanics to
unify the mind and body.
Zen Tai Chi can be practiced both as a martial art and gently for
health purposes. Zen Tai Chi practice calms the mind, improves
mental focus, body awareness, balance, alignment, and develops
relaxed body movement.
Location: Wood's Room
Cost: $5 per class, first class free!
Time: Tuesdays 5:00 – 6:00 pm, 2/2 – 4/27
What to bring: There's no special equipment needed for the class.
Comfortable, non-restrictive clothes and comfortable shoes are
recommended.
Advanced Aerobic Conditioning Class
Instructors: F&M football Coaching Staff
Time/Dates: Tuesday's and Friday's @ 6:30AM to 8AM. Class begins
February 2nd.
Location: Mayser Gymnasium
*This is not a beginner class
Kickboxing
Kickboxing is an non-contact, energy-packed class that provides
cardio routines for total body toning. In this class, you jump,
kick, and box your way into a healthier you. This kickboxing class
is designed for all fitness levels and is structured with cueing
and instruction to allow beginners as well as more advanced
exercisers to follow the challenging combinations, burn fat,
release stress, & have fun! Resistance training, abdominal work
and stretching are added to the end of the workout.
Location: Wood's Room
Cost: $5/ per class
Time: Mondays 6:00pm - 7:00pm, 2/1 – 4/26
What to bring: Please bring a large mat, or towel, water, and a
small towel because you will sweat!
Core Fit
A strong core provides stability as a result of developing balance
and strength. This class works the hips, back, and abdominal area
to provide that total toning and strengthening needed. Core Fit is
much more than crunches and low back extensions! Instruction for
optimal form and results are provided making this class suitable
for all fitness levels!
Location: Wood's Room
Cost: $5/ per class
Time: Wednesdays 5:00pm - 5:45pm. 2/3 – 3/10
What to bring: Please bring a large mat, or towel, and water.
Look for an exciting new class to be introduced after Spring
Break!
Personal Training
Personal Training is available at a fee for all members of the
college community. If you are interested in this service please
contact the individuals listed below. These are individuals who
have been approved by the College to provide this service to our
patrons.
